St. Joseph
Known as “the Riviera of the Midwest.” St Joseph is a resort community surrounded by scenic beaches, with Lake Michigan as its backdrop.
The city was originally founded as a shipping community and has since grown into a go-to resort community. St. Joseph’s lakeshore is lined with beaches and fantastic sand dune formations. Once you leave downtown you will find the countryside that is home to some of the best orchards and vineyards. Downtown is full of local shops and plenty of dining options. And if you are an outdoor enthusiast you will have limitless opportunities– boating, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, biking, hiking, or golf. There are a lot of parks to explore such as Lake Bluff Park, Tiscornia Park, and Silver Beach County Park. The town hosts various festivals, farmers’ markets, or live music at the Shadowland Pavilion at Silver Beach.
